8 Recipes for Your Football Tailgate

RSS

Football season is here and just as important as the games themselves, is what you’re going to munch on before and during them. In an effort to provide a little inspiration, we’ve rounded up eight tailgate snack ideas, each incorporating SuckerPunch Gourmet products.

Chips & Salsa

It’s classic, it’s easy and it never fails. Simply grab a jar of SuckerPunch Gourmet Green Tomato Salsa (available in medium and hot), and your favorite brand of tortilla chips.

Nachos

Take the Chips & Salsa one step further by adding on tasty toppings like melted cheese, beef, tomatoes and jalapenos for a bigger kick. Drizzle SuckerPunch Salsa on top with sour cream and guac, and serve while hot.

Enchiladas

For something more filling, mix together cheese (we like pepper jack), roasted chicken or beef, and SuckerPunch Gourmet Salsa, add filling to tortillas, roll them up, top with more salsa and cheese, and bake. Serve with a side of sour cream.

Pulled Pork Sliders

A tailgate favorite, we tried making these sliders with SuckerPunch Bloody Mary Mix, and boy were we impressed! Get the recipe here. If you want to add some heat, opt for the spicy mix, and top with SuckerPunch Pickles for added, juicy flavor. Note: Don’t wait until the last minute, as we suggest marinating overnight, and then slow cooking the next day.

Fried Pickles

The perfect finger food to snack on while the action heats up. Grab a jar of SuckerPunch Pickles and choose your favorite recipe and seasoning of choice (we prefer cajun). Then just fry them up, or for a healthier alternative, bake them instead.

Burgers and Dogs (with copycat Fast Food Everything Sauce)

Chances are you’re firing up the grill this football season, and our friends at The Tipsy Housewife have created the perfect sauce to slather on burgers and hot dogs. If you’ve ever been to an In-N-Out Burger, you’ll know just how good this sauce is. It’s super quick, easy and only takes three ingredients: mayo, ketchup and SuckerPunch Gourmet Spicy Bread n’ Better Pickles (diced). Get the recipe here.

7 Layer Dip

Sub in SuckerPunch’s Salsa in your usual recipe. Make this dish more portable (and a lot less messy) by creating mini 7 Layer Dips in individual cups.

Chili

Save this belly warmer for later in the season, especially if you’re braving the cold at an outdoor tailgate. Our recipe uses SuckerPunch Gourmet Spicy Bloody Mary Mix and Hot Green Tomato Salsa, to really bring the heat during winter.
