Vicki's Award-Winning SuckerPunch Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef (or turkey)
  • 2 cups SuckerPunch Spicy Bloody Mary Mix
  • 1 jar SuckerPunch Hot Green Tomato Salsa
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans light red kidney beans (drained)
  • 1 red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a large pot, brown the beef. Remove the meat and set aside.
  2. Heat about 1 tbsp of oil in the same pan.
  3. Add onion and red bell pepper saute for about 3 minutes.
  4. Add diced garlic saute for an additional 2-4 minutes.
  5. Add the SuckerPunch Bloody Mary Mix and deglaze the pan (scrape up all the bits with a wooden spoon).
  6. Add the meat back to the pan and add the remaining ingredients.
  7. Stir well and simmer for about an hour.
